V.P. Operations/Construction
Matt is responsible for leading our efforts to earn and maintain strong customer relationships. By consistently encouraging dedication to excellence, timeliness, and safety, Matt helps ensure that our clients and employees receive the high-quality experience they expect from Gowan/Garrett, Inc.
Matt offers a wealth of industry expertise, developed during his tenure of more than 30 years with Gowan/Garrett, Inc. He served as a Project Superintendent in 1995, and continued to advance into roles of increasing responsibility, including Project Manager, and Operations Manager, until advancing into his current role in 2021.
Throughout his career, Matt has overseen multiple multi-million-dollar projects, including projects for large medical and higher education facilities. He is well-versed in handling an extensive breadth of construction requirements effectively and efficiently.
Matt completed his Local Union 68 five-year plumbing apprenticeship program in 1997. He holds a professional plumbing/medical gas license and Class A HVAC license in Texas.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with family and friends, raising cattle, and team roping.
